Greetings Durango music community,

As I take on the role of president of the Durango Choral Society Board of Directors, I look forward to many exciting years ahead. I hope to assist in growing the choirs and audience numbers by supporting our fantastic Artistic Directors, Rhonda Muckerman and Amy Barrett. They have framed an exciting choral selection for our 2025-2026 performance year. I hope you plan on coming to see the many new faces in our youth and adult choirs.

This year as a special treat the adult choir will be singing on November 7th with the San Juan Symphony in celebration of their 40th anniversary and the Women's choir will be performing on October 17th a new piece composed by Durango resident Carol Thurman.

Having gone to high school and college in Durango and coming home often for family visits, I am honored to return and be a part of bringing DSC's wonderful music to the Durango community.

All of the artists in our choirs love to sing for you and we are fortunate to have a community that supports and inspires us. You are all a part of the equation that makes each performance complete.
